Frequently Asked Questions

What about cancellations?

Here’s how it works with our trip leaders when you’re a member. Approximately one week before our day paddles, we send out the final information, including trip leader contact info, to all members via email. If you want to join the paddle, let the trip leader know by phone or email. If the trip is cancelled, they will contact you and inform you of the cancellation. We also try to do an email blast to the general membership if we have enough notice.

If any trip on our calendar is cancelled well in advance, even multi-day trips, we will do a general emailing to all members to inform them.

If you’ve signed up for a trial paddle, and it gets cancelled by weather, for instance, you will also receive a contact from the trip leader.

Photo Contest

February 22, 2025

The annual Photo Contest captures the best of members’ photos throughout the past paddle season and this past years’ submissions were no exception. The year end Club dinner showcases the talented photographic skills of all our members and narrows the submissions to a winner, and runner up in the Nature and Club Activities categories. Congratulations to Kim Korgemaa for winning first place in the Nature category with her Up, Up, and Away photo, and to Bob Casement the runner up for his Treading Carefully  photo. Also congratulations to the Winner in the Club Activities category, Linda Anderson for her R&R in the Adirondacks and the Runner Up Kim Korgemaa for Under the Umbrella.

Please be advised that as of Spring 2017 all paddlers are required to wear a life jacket.

We are a diverse group of individuals from all over Ontario’s Niagara Region with a passion for kayaking. We conduct numerous day paddles throughout southern Ontario as well as extended expeditions further from home. We try to have an event scheduled every weekend of the season. Winter events are impromptu.
